The fall Honor Flight season is just a few weeks away! In addition to our airport greetings, we encourage you all to meet our Veterans at the WWII Memorial in downtown DC. This is a great opportunity to bring your family, spend some time outside, and meet HUNDREDS of Veterans at one time. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information about these Super Saturdays. No need to sign up in advance — just show up and stay for however long you can!

- September 9 (549 vets)
- September 16 (574 vets)
- September 23 (483 vets)
- September 30 (568 vets)
- October 7 (400)
- October 14 (540)
- October 21 (534)
We will also have commemorative events upcoming:
- September 2 @ 11 AM V-J Day Observance
- October 25 @ 11:30 AM Battle of Santa Cruz Island, 75th Anniversary Commemoration
- November 8 @ 11:30 AM Operation Torch, 75th Anniversary Commemoration
- November 11 @ 9 AM Veterans Day Observance
- December 7 @ 12:53 PM Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Observance
There will be veterans present and wreath layings during all commemorative/observance events.
PLEASE post the full schedule of arrivals at Memorial for Super Saturday’s in September and October.
Example: Above lists 549 on 9/9. Website only shows 3 flights. Helps to know arrival times and number of veterans.
Hi Ruth — Apologize for the confusion. Our schedule on this website only posts flights coming in and out of DCA airport. The Super Saturdays at the Memorial include flights that come in from IAD and BWI as well. The tentative Memorial schedule is posted on our facebook page as an event!
Thanks!
